Opportunity to participate in a Structured IPE Clinical Placement
Students from across all professions are invited to learn about, with and from students in other professions while on placement at UHN.

Structured IPE Clinical Experiences (SIPE) provide students with the opportunity to:
- Develop an increased understanding of the unique and shared expertise that each brings to the solution of patient-centered problems,
- Learn and develop clinical expertise together,
- Develop an understanding of team dynamics, communication skills within the team and conflict resolution within the context of a well-functioning team
- Meet the IPE requirements of their academic program. For professions who are required to achieve a certain number of hours in a practice area, a SIPE is counted as part of practice hours.
Every student/trainee at UHN has the opportunity to, and is welcomed, encouraged, and expected to participate in Interprofessional Education at UHN.
Each SIPE consists of a time commitment of 5-10 hours and will include:

| Week 5 | Learner group presentation (20-30 min presentation and 30 min discussion; preparation is on the group’s own time, outside of scheduled SIPE activities) |
Structured IPE Clinical Experiences will be held online on MSTeams! Students may only register for one SIPE. Choose one SIPE based on location, timing and theme. Themes for each SIPE are intentionally broad to allow students to shape the specifics of session topics to their collective needs.
Please register early as space is limited to 10 students, preferably with only 2 from each profession!
